Privacy policy
This policy covers the home server backup tool, a private tool used by one person to copy backup files to their own Google Drive.
What access the tool asks for
The tool asks Google for permission to view and manage only the files and folders that it creates itself in the owner's Google Drive. It cannot see any other file in the account.
What the tool does with that access
It uploads backup copies of the owner's own files, lists the files it uploaded, and moves older versions of changed files into a dated folder. It does nothing else with Google data.
Where data goes
The sign-in token that lets the tool reach Google Drive is stored only in a configuration file on the owner's own computer. The tool does not send Google account data to any other server, and the owner of this site does not receive, collect or store it.
Sharing and selling
Data is not shared with anyone, sold, used for advertising, or used to train any model. No person other than the owner has access to it.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The tool's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and removal
Files remain in the owner's Google Drive until the owner deletes them. The owner can revoke the tool's access at any time from the Google Account security settings, and can delete the stored token from their computer.
Changes
If the tool's use of Google data changes, this page will be updated first.
